Access and circulation for The Grand Circus Parade and the Open Air Circus Show

As part of the 46th International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, a Grand Parade will be organized in the city starting from Fontvieille at 2:00 PM, followed by a show, an Open Air Circus Show on Place du Palais around 2:45 PM.

Information about the Grand Parade:

• 1:00 PM: setting up of the Grand Parade on avenue des Papalins
• 2:00 PM: start of the Grand Parade with the following route: rue du Campanin, avenue des Castelans, avenue de Fontvieille, place du Canton, boulevard Charles III, Place d’Armes, avenue de la Porte Neuve, avenue Saint Martin, rue Bellando de Castro
• 2:30 PM/2:45 PM: arrival of the Grand Parade at Place du Palais

Information about the Open Air Circus Show – Place du Palais: Place du Palais will be accessible by:

• Porte Neuve following the Grand Parade
• Rampe Major
• by bus lines 1 and 2, which will serve the parking des Pêcheurs Public access control, with bag checks, will be implemented at the entrances to Place du Palais:
• Rampe Major
• rue des Remparts
• rue Basse
• rue Comte Félix Gastaldi
• rue Emile de Loth
• rue Bellando de Castro Please note the closure of access to Place du Palais from the Promenade Sainte Barbe.

Impact on traffic:

From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, during the parade and upon the animals’ return to the tent, traffic will be temporarily suspended on the following routes: avenue des Guelfes, rue du Campanin, avenue de Fontvieille, tunnel Charles III, rond-point du Canton, boulevard Charles III, place d’Armes upstream lane, avenue de la Porte Neuve, avenue Saint Martin, rue Bellando de Castro, rue des remparts. Detour routes will be implemented. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Place du Palais will be closed to automobile traffic.

Impact on public transportation:

From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, during the parade and when animals return to the tent, lines 1 and 2 will not access Monaco-Ville and will be directed towards the RDC level of parking des Pêcheurs, via the reversed rond-point de la Place d’Armes and avenue du Port. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, other urban bus lines 3, 4, 6, and 7 – interurban buses 607, 608, and 80, and “Le Grand Tour” buses will be diverted based on the procession route.

Impact on public parking:

During the parade, access to the following parking lots will be neutralized: parking du Port, Saint-Nicolas, Stade Louis II, le Triton, des Villas, de la Colle, de la Visitation, de l’Abbaye.

It is also noteworthy that on this occasion, there will be no Changing of the Guard at Place du Palais on Thursday, January 11, Friday, January 12, and Saturday, January 13, 2024.
