Exploring Monaco is now easier and more enjoyable thanks to Visit Monaco City Walk, the Principality’s new digital initiative designed to help visitors discover the destination through walking routes, interactive maps and smart mobility solutions.

The project is the result of a collaboration between the Department of Public Works, Environment and Urban Development, the Department of Finance and Economy, and the Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition, with the aim of offering visitors a more intuitive, sustainable and personalized way to experience Monaco.

Discover Monaco at your own pace on foot

The idea behind Visit Monaco City Walk is simple: leave your vehicle upon arrival and explore the Principality by walking through its different districts, discovering gardens, museums, shops, restaurants, panoramic viewpoints and iconic landmarks without constraints.

Through the dedicated website, visitors can easily prepare their stay, select an itinerary that matches their interests and organize their day according to their own pace.

As Guy Antognelli, Director of Tourism and Congresses, explains:

“Monaco is a destination that is experienced as much as it is visited. With Visit Monaco City Walk, we want to give visitors all the tools they need to explore its districts, discover unexpected places along the way and fully enjoy their experience.”

Walking routes to explore Monaco district by district

The platform offers a selection of walking itineraries designed to showcase Monaco’s main districts, highlighting cultural attractions, green spaces, local experiences and must-see locations.

Each route provides useful information, including:

  • distance;
  • adv-256
  • estimated walking time;
  • district description;
  • itinerary details;
  • nearby points of interest.

Dedicated signage installed throughout the city also helps visitors easily follow the different routes during their exploration.

The itineraries are fully flexible: visitors can complete them entirely on foot or use Monaco’s public bus network to reach another district, shorten a route or continue their journey with ease.

Smart parking and mobility solutions

One of the key features of Visit Monaco City Walk is its integration with Monaco’s mobility services.

The platform allows visitors to:

  • check real-time parking availability;
  • identify spaces available for both electric and traditional vehicles;
  • adv-957
  • reserve a parking space directly at the Parking des Salines, making it possible to plan parking before arriving in the Principality.

This approach encourages visitors to leave their cars behind and enjoy a more sustainable and relaxed way of discovering Monaco.

An interactive map to plan every visit

At the heart of the project is an interactive map available online, allowing users to explore Monaco’s districts through dedicated icons.

Visitors can view each itinerary’s duration, distance and highlights, while easily locating museums, gardens, restaurants, viewpoints and other attractions along the way.

The goal is to make discovering Monaco simpler, more accessible and tailored to every visitor’s interests.

A complete digital ecosystem for visitors

Visit Monaco City Walk complements the digital services already available to residents and tourists, creating an increasingly connected ecosystem for mobility and tourism.

These include Monapass, Your Monaco, Monaco Bus, Taxi Monaco, Mobee, Citymapper, Ma Place PMR and StreetNav, all designed to simplify travel and enhance the visitor experience in the Principality.

According to Pascal Rouison, Head of the Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition, the initiative reflects Monaco’s ambition to create “useful, simple and user-focused digital services” by bringing together essential information and mobility solutions on a single platform.
