The Théâtre Princesse Grace presents “Passeport”, a play written and directed by Alexis Michalik. This poignant performance tells the story of three refugees from the Calais camp: Issa, an Eritrean, Arun, a Tamil Indian, and Ali, a Syrian. Three men from distant lands, often unfamiliar to many, with one certainty: they do not speak French.

Their dream was to reach England, but stranded in Calais, they must now consider building a future in France. Their journey mirrors that of many exiles—a story of adaptation, resilience, and integration. Without imposing a moral, but with a deeply human and empathetic perspective, Alexis Michalik invites us to reflect on a universal truth: at some point in our family history, we have all had to learn a foreign language and integrate into a new country.
