Last Thursday, January 16, 2025, the 25th anniversary of the Grimaldi Forum Monaco was celebrated with great emphasis during a special evening attended by Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène, along with nearly 1,000 guests, including clients, partners, and media from Monaco, France, and across Europe.
During the event, the renewed and historic collaboration with CMB Monaco was unveiled, followed by an emotional performance in the Salle des Princes. The show, which depicted the human journey of the Grimaldi Forum, combined dance and video in a series of six brief scenes. Each one illustrated the successes and achievements of the institution through external testimonies and artistic interpretations.
The event was conceived through a collaboration with the renowned choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot, Director of the Monte-Carlo Ballets, one of the Grimaldi Forum’s longest-standing cultural partners and the perfect symbol of the 25 years of the institution’s history. The Monte-Carlo Ballets, known worldwide, represent excellence in dance, paired with the boldness of the Monaco Dance Forum, whose name is closely linked to the Grimaldi Forum, and the prestigious Princesse Grace Academy. The show, directed by Dominique Drillot, was performed by international choreographers Olga Smirnova and Victor Caixeta, alongside students from the Princesse Grace Academy, under the direction of Luca Masala. A performance that combined talent and creativity to shape the future of dance and the arts, much like the recent expansion of the Grimaldi Forum.
When the Grimaldi Forum Monaco opened its doors in 2000, it had two ambitious goals: to position Monaco as one of Europe’s leading business tourism destinations and to become a cultural landmark. 25 years later, the cultural and congress center of the Principality stands out with an average of 100 events per year and over 300,000 visitors annually, having hosted 2,700 events and 8 million people over its historic journey. This success highlights the Grimaldi Forum as a fundamental pillar of Monaco’s cultural and congress life.
