The 13th edition of the Sainte Dévote Tournament, organized by the Monaco Rugby Federation under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Princess Charlène of Monaco, will take place on April 25 and 26, 2025, at the iconic Stade Louis II, the sporting heart of the Principality.
This event, named after Monaco’s Patron Saint, will welcome 24 Under-12 teams from 21 different countries, in an international celebration of rugby as a tool for growth, exchange, and unity.
But the tournament goes far beyond the game itself: as highlighted in the official press release, the true aim is to promote the core values of rugby such as discipline, respect, inclusion, and tolerance.
Several free and public initiatives are on the schedule, including:
“Rugby for All”, for children and young people with disabilities.
“Rugby Tots”, introducing rugby to children aged 2 to 7.
The entertaining “Ninja Box”, an obstacle course inspired by the hit show “Ninja Warrior”.
Also featured is the Trophée Sainte Dévote, a symbolic match between Monaco and Lucciana—a Corsican town twinned with the Principality—that celebrates the friendship between Monaco and Corsica.
This year’s edition will have a special guest: Tendai Mtawarira, legendary former South African international known as “The Beast”, World Cup Champion in 2019, and an icon of modern rugby.
The Sainte Dévote Tournament 2025 thus stands as both a major sporting event and a meaningful moment of social and educational impact, bringing together cultures, generations, and passions through the universal language of sport.
