On Monday 21 July 2025, shortly after being sworn in before H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and visiting the Sûreté Publique, the new Minister of State of the Principality of Monaco, H.E. Christophe Mirmand, made an official visit to the Fire and Rescue Corps, underlining the importance placed on civil protection within the government’s agenda.

He was accompanied by Lionel Beffre, Government Counsellor–Minister of the Interior, and Colonel Tony Varo, Chief Commander of the Public Force, and was welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Laurent Audat, Deputy Commander of the Corps.

After reviewing the troops, the Minister attended several institutional presentations, including one on the Event Management and Emergency Operations Coordination Centre. He then visited the rescue centres of La Condamine and Fontvieille, where he was introduced to the vehicles and equipment used by the Corps.

The visit showcased the high level of expertise, responsiveness, and professionalism that defines the daily work of Monaco’s firefighters. At the end of the tour, H.E. Christophe Mirmand addressed the gathered personnel, paying tribute to their exemplary dedication: “The appeal of Monaco rests above all on the flawless protection of its residents. This requires constant vigilance, risk anticipation, and unwavering commitment to emergency response – all key priorities in our governmental action plan.”

The visit concluded with the signing of the guest book at the Fontvieille rescue centre, marking a moment of institutional recognition for the Corps.
