The Prince Pierre Foundation is pleased to announce that, by Sovereign Decision dated March 21, 2025, Björn Dahlström has been appointed Vice-President of the Artistic Council of the Foundation. He succeeds Marie-Claude Beaud, whose dedication and passion have left a lasting mark on the history of the International Contemporary Art Prize.
Throughout her tenure, Marie-Claude Beaud worked tirelessly in the service of Art, raising public awareness of contemporary expressions and supporting numerous established and emerging artists. Her legacy endures through the initiatives she implemented and the inspiration she leaves to the artistic community.
To continue this mission, Björn Dahlström joins the Artistic Council with the desire to extend and enrich this commitment. An art historian, he has notably directed the Yves Saint Laurent museums in Marrakech and Paris. Since 2021, he has been at the head of the New National Museum of Monaco. Under his leadership, the NMNM has hosted major exhibitions such as Newton, Riviera and Pasolini in Clair-Obscur at Villa Sauber, as well as Christian Bérard, Excentrique Bébé and Miquel Barceló, Oceanographer at Villa Paloma.
The Prince Pierre Foundation, which welcomes his appointment, is confident that Björn Dahlström will make a significant contribution to the development and influence of the International Contemporary Art Prize.
