Immagine POWHER: The Event for International Women’s Rights Day

The Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights will celebrate International Women’s Rights Day on March 8th with an event organized in partnership with its collaborators.
Entitled POWHER, this event will take place on Saturday, March 8th, at the Espace Léo Ferré from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The 2025 edition will focus on the image and representation of women in the media (cinema, advertising, video games, painting, etc.).
On this occasion, the public will have the opportunity to discover exhibitions, a “gaming” space, a cosplay workshop, an “escape game,” and shows for the whole family.
“This day aims to be both fun and educational,” explains Céline Cottalorda, Interministerial Delegate for Women’s Rights. “We want to show how the image of women has evolved over time and how society is progressing toward greater equality. We also aim to convey important messages while having fun,” she continues.

Audrey Dana, godmother of the event

Actress and director Audrey Dana will be the godmother of the event. She will take part in a round table discussion on the representation of women in the arts and media. With her, Kayane, a streamer and E-sports champion who will also host the gaming space, Harmony Larcher, a former cosplayer now a fashion designer, and Toby Wright, a painter and women’s rights ambassador, will be present.

In addition to Toby Wright, the Committee can rely on the involvement of its other ambassadors for women’s rights:
• Cédric Biscay designed the event poster: “I wanted a striking visual that would attract a wide audience. The use of pop culture codes to engage young people and convey the strong values of the Committee felt like a natural choice.” He also contributed his expertise to the organization of the round table and the gaming and cosplay spaces, three key activities of the day.
• Hassan of Monaco selected three new-generation artists for the comedy show that will close the event: Amandine Lourdel, Basile, and Myriam Barouk.
• Anthony Alberti, aka Mr. One Teas, created the decor for the photobooth, allowing visitors to leave with a unique and original souvenir from their participation in this day.

Other activities will also be available on-site. Admission is free.
