Le Parole della Vita 2026: International Poetry Competition Awards Ceremony in Monaco on 14 November

The Principality of Monaco is preparing to host an evening celebrating poetry, literature and artistic expression. On Saturday, 14 November 2026, at 7:30 pm, the Auditorium Rainier III, Salle Vasarely, will welcome the awards ceremony of the third edition of Le Parole della Vita, the international competition for unpublished poetry.

Organised by Il Teatro della Vita under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in the Principality of Monaco, the initiative celebrates creativity in the Italian language and provides a meeting place for writers, artists and audiences who share a passion for literature.

Le Parole della Vita: an international competition for unpublished poetry

The competition is open to unpublished poems written in Italian on any subject. Its aim is to promote poetry as a form of personal expression and a valuable means of cultural dialogue.

Now in its third edition, the award has become an important event for Monaco’s Italian cultural community and for anyone who appreciates the art of poetry.

The awards ceremony will also provide an opportunity to celebrate the participants’ creative journeys and highlight the relevance of contemporary poetry through an evening combining words, music and visual arts.

An evening of poetry, music and photography

The programme will take audiences on a journey through the history of poetry, from ancient Greece to the twentieth century, exploring the evolution of poetic language and its ability to convey emotions, social realities and cultural transformations.

The evening will be presented by Laura Trimarchi, president of the competition, who will also lead the poetry readings alongside Barbara Fraccascia.

Their readings will be accompanied by the accordion performances of maestro Gianni Martini, creating an evocative dialogue between the written word and live music.

The programme will also feature a photography exhibition by Rosanna Calò, adding another artistic dimension to the event and bringing together poetry, photography and visual sensitivity.

Open Mic: an opportunity for audience participation

Following the awards ceremony, the evening will continue with an Open Mic session, inviting members of the audience to take part.

Guests will have the opportunity to share spontaneous readings and their own poetic texts, turning the event into a moment of cultural exchange, listening and participation.

This initiative reflects the spirit of Il Teatro della Vita, which is committed to promoting culture and creating opportunities for people to connect through the arts.
