Nice is getting ready to dress up in Carnival colors and once again take center stage during the European winter season. Online ticket sales officially opened on Wednesday, December 17 at 10:00 a.m. for the 2026 Nice Carnival, which will take place from February 11 to March 1 under the theme “Vive la Reine”.
Tickets are available exclusively on the official website nicecarnaval.com, where visitors can find practical information, prices, access options and regulations. One of the most eagerly awaited winter events on the French Riviera, the Carnival once again offers a program combining major spectacular events with free popular celebrations.
The official schedule will open on Wednesday, February 11 with the traditional Charivari of Richelmi, followed by the Carnival Ball on Friday, February 13, a historic highlight of the festivities.
The most popular moment will come on Saturday, February 14, when from 2:00 p.m. the city center and avenue Jean Médecin will host the Carnavalina, a large free street celebration designed to bring together residents and visitors and revive traditional Nice Carnival customs.
At the heart of the festivities are the grand Carnival parades. The opening illuminated parade will take place on Saturday, February 14 at 9:00 p.m., followed by four nighttime parades (February 17, 21, 24 and 28 at 8:30 p.m.), the daytime parade on February 22 at 2:30 p.m., and the iconic Flower Battles, held February 18, 21, 25 and 28 at 2:30 p.m..
As per tradition, free admission will be granted to fully costumed participants, subject to availability, in the pedestrian areas during all Carnival parades.
In addition to online sales, tickets will also be available on site: at the main ticket office on the Promenade du Paillon, open from February 5, 2026, daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (closed Sunday, February 8), and on event days at the sales point located at 5 Promenade des Anglais, seaside.
Prices remain unchanged compared to 2025, with different rates for adults, children and people with disabilities, and several options including grandstands and pedestrian areas. Full details are available on the official Carnival website.
Organizers also remind visitors that everyone must hold a ticket to access the Carnival areas, including children and those benefiting from free admission.
With the theme “Vive la Reine”, the 2026 Nice Carnival once again promises to turn the city into a vast open-air stage, blending creativity, tradition and spectacle, and attracting thousands of visitors from across Europe.
