On Tuesday 18 November, a pedagogical partnership was established between the Monégasque Institute for Training in Judicial Professions (IMFPJ), Université Nice Côte d’Azur, and Paris-Panthéon-Assas University for the launch of the Interuniversity Diploma (DIU) in Monegasque Law within the latter.

The agreement, signed by Mr. Samuel VUELTA SIMON, Secretary of State for Justice, and Mr. Stéphane BRACONNIER, President of Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, in the presence of Professor Yves STRICKLER, Scientific Director of the IMFPJ, and Ms. Delphine LANZARA, Project Manager at the Directorate of Judicial Services, represents a new milestone in the development of Monegasque Law education.

Following its introduction at the Faculties of Law and Political Science of Université Côte d’Azur and Aix-Marseille University, Monegasque Law will now also be taught at a Parisian university, further enhancing its visibility and increasing the number of students trained in its specificities.

Created in September 2024 by the IMFPJ, this DIU allows students to receive training in Monegasque Law, alongside their main academic curriculum, through a 120-hour institutional and legal programme over three years. It currently hosts 150 students between their first and second years.

Mr. Jean-Philippe VINCI, Director of National Education, Youth and Sports, was also present to sign with the IMFPJ a cooperation agreement allowing the DENJS to provide valuable logistical support for the institute’s training programmes. This agreement officially strengthens the partnership between National Education and Monaco’s only existing legal training centre, currently based at the Palais de Justice.
