The Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival returns from November 20 to 29, 2025, with its 19th edition, confirming itself as one of the most prestigious music events in Europe. The Opéra Garnier will host a journey through sound that blends jazz masters, oriental and Caribbean influences, and the freshest voices of the contemporary scene.
On November 21, Ibrahim Maalouf will pay tribute to Oum Kalthoum, fifty years after the Egyptian diva’s passing, with a contemporary reimagining of the One Thousand and One Nights. On November 26, Jamaican pianist Monty Alexander, with Luke Sellick and Jason Brown, will bring Caribbean energy to the stage, followed by the vibrant salsa of Yuri Buenaventura with his new album Amame.
On November 28, the iconic Rhoda Scott will make her Hammond organ resonate, joined by the refined voice of David Linx, while Michel Jonasz will deliver his Soul Tour alongside Manu Katché and Jean-Yves d’Angelo.
The festival also opens to contemporary sounds with the British Morcheeba, pioneers of trip-hop, and the Israeli Asaf Avidan, whose androgynous and moving voice will close this edition on November 29.
As tradition dictates, the opening concert on November 20 will feature the young talents of the Académie Rainier III. A special conference by Thierry Jousse on the relationship between jazz and cinema will further enrich the program.
The Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival 2025 continues to celebrate the free and universal spirit of jazz, carrying forward a tradition of excellence in the heart of the Principality.
