Monaco participated for the fifth time in the ESPAD (European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs) survey, conducted every 4 years in around thirty European countries. Its aim is to study health behaviors, lifestyles, and alcohol, tobacco, and other drug consumption among 16-year-old and older school students.
The IMSEE (Monaco Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies), which now holds the scientific responsibility for ESPAD in Monaco, implemented the survey in schools of the Principality, in collaboration with the Department of National Education, Youth and Sports, and Extended Monaco. Thus, on Wednesday, April 10, more than 1,300 students aged 16 and over were surveyed simultaneously via questionnaire, for the first time completely in a digital format.
