The Monaco International Épée Tournament confirms its status as one of the most prestigious events on the international fencing calendar. The 2026 edition will take place on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 January at the Espace Saint-Antoine, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, highlighting the importance and excellence of this competition.
The tournament will be held on 17 pistes and will bring together the elite of international fencing, offering two days of top-level competition. The programme includes individual men’s and women’s events, with nearly 200 athletes expected to compete. Among them will be more than 130 women fencers, including many of the best French athletes, taking part in the National Senior Women’s event. The tournament provides a unique opportunity for European and international épée fencers to test themselves at the highest level.
A key highlight of the event will be the finals, scheduled for Sunday 11 January at 4:00 pm, in the multi-purpose hall of the Espace Saint-Antoine. One of the most coveted trophies will be awarded at this time: the H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco Cup, presented to the top competitors.
The competition is open to senior épée fencers, as well as junior athletes competing in a higher category. Foreign competitors must be licensed by their national fencing federation in order to take part.
