The servicemen of the Monaco Fire Brigade gathered today at Place du Campanin in Fontvieille for the helmet presentation ceremony for four young recruits. Under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel Maxime Yvrard, Chief of the Corps, the ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Lionel Beffre, Government Counselor – Minister of the Interior, Colonel Tony Varo, Superior Commander of the Public Force, Mr. Christophe Prat, Director General of the Department of the Interior, Lieutenant-Colonel Martial Pied, Chief of the Prince’s Carabinieri Corps, and Abbé Christian Venard, Chaplain of the Public Force, who blessed the helmets.

The new recruits are from the class named “Sergeant Henri Campredon,” in honor of the firefighter who died in the line of duty on January 13, 1979, at the age of 50. The ceremony was held in the presence of his family.
Their intervention helmets were handed to them by their respective sponsors, solemnly marking the completion of a five-month training course. This act symbolizes their commitment as well as their belonging to the Corps. It also reflects the fraternal bond that now unites them with their fellow firefighters, whom they join in carrying out missions to protect and safeguard people and property, both in the Principality and in neighboring municipalities.

They will proudly and honorably uphold the Corps’ motto: “Courage – Dedication – Sacrifice.”
