During this autumn period, the Department of Social Affairs and Health wishes to remind Monegasque citizens, residents, and social security beneficiaries of the Principality of Monaco about the importance, for at-risk individuals, of getting vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
The target groups for this joint vaccination campaign are:
People aged 65 and over;
People under 65 suffering from chronic illnesses;
Pregnant women;
People suffering from obesity;
Individuals residing in follow-up care or medical-social accommodation facilities, regardless of their age.
Vaccines adapted to circulating strains will be available from tomorrow in pharmacies across the Principality.
Anyone interested may:
get vaccinated directly on site, or
obtain the vaccine and contact their general practitioner or a nurse.
COVID-19 vaccination administered by a nurse requires a prior medical prescription.
It is also reminded that the two vaccinations can be carried out simultaneously, provided that different injection sites are used.
The Prince’s Government emphasizes that, to be effective, the seasonal flu vaccine should be administered before the arrival of flu viruses, generally from the end of October.
Finally, influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations are fully covered for social security beneficiaries of the Principality.
