“Grace#1”: The Secret Soul of a Princess

In the most private rooms of the Palais Princier, hidden behind a theatrical red velvet curtain, “Grace#1” comes to life—a unique exhibition revealing Grace Kelly as never before. Open from July 5 to September 14, 2025, this event offers a sensorial and narrative experience that transcends myth to explore the inner world of a real, complex, and extraordinary woman.

Curated by Natalia Mlodzikowska and Marie-Eve Mestre, “Grace#1” is not a tribute in the conventional sense, but the first chapter in a visual story told with emotion, subtlety, and authenticity. The three rooms dedicated to the show are transformed into a soft, intimate space, enhanced by restored photographs, the scent of roses, ambient natural sounds, and gentle lighting—designed to evoke more than explain.

At the heart of the exhibition are 15 display cases showcasing personal belongings of Grace Kelly, many never shown before: an original Hermès Kelly bag, sunglasses, hats, jewelry, gloves, and other everyday items that portray a refined, unpretentious femininity. Each object opens a window into different facets of her life: the Hollywood star, the loving mother, the artist behind the lens, the American woman who gracefully embraced her royal role.

The narrative, divided into four thematic sections, focuses on being rather than appearing: spontaneous photos on Jamaican beaches, tender moments with her children, and her passion for photography and storytelling. There is no strict chronology—only atmosphere. No nostalgia—only presence. Visitors leave with the sensation of having shared a suspended moment of truth.

“Grace#1” is part of Monaco’s vibrant summer cultural calendar alongside “Colours!” at the Grimaldi Forum and exhibitions by the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, yet it stands out for its intimate, emotional tone. It marks the beginning of a wider project: a series of exhibitions dedicated to Grace, each offering a new emotional lens and perspective.
