The Department of Cultural Affairs and the Department of Urban Planning are launching the second edition of the Flower Bed Creation Competition “Dessine-moi un jardin”, which will begin on March 28, 2026, in the Principality of Monaco.
This initiative aims to enhance the urban landscape and create an attractive environment for residents by actively involving them in this project.
The competition is open to everyone, upon registration and subject to availability. It is intended for both beginners and experienced gardeners, residing in Monaco.
On March 28, 2026, participants will be able to design and plant a flower bed that will have been installed in advance. They will be guided by a member of the Department of Urban Planning (DAU), who will provide plants and tools required to complete their creation.
For this edition, the theme is “Primary Colors”. Participants will be invited to freely design their flower bed using the colors blue, yellow, and red.
Participants will maintain their flower bed themselves until the award ceremony. They will thus enjoy watching their creation evolve over the weeks, along with the residents and visitors of the Principality, who will benefit from this enhancement of the city’s green spaces.
In June, an award ceremony will recognize the creativity of the participants and their commitment to a more pleasant and sustainable urban environment.
This project is part of the “Renaturing the City” policy initiated by the Princely Government of Monaco and implemented by the Department of Urban Planning.
Before February 27, 2026, by completing the online registration form on Culture.mc
