Film Shootings in Monaco: Traffic Changes Until August 28

MONACO – Until Friday, August 28, 2026, the Principality of Monaco will be affected by major film shootings, particularly in the Port Hercule area. To allow the production to take place, temporary changes have been introduced to traffic, parking and public transport services.

The measures concern both pedestrian and vehicle traffic and will affect several roads in the Principality on different days and during specific time slots. The measures may also be modified depending on the needs of the film production.

Pedestrian traffic: Quai Albert Ier closed

Until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 28, pedestrians will not be allowed to use Quai Albert Ier. The restriction has been in force since noon on Sunday, August 23.

Traffic in Monaco: roads affected by closures

The main vehicle traffic restrictions will be in effect between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. and will not apply to residents, except for traffic interruptions strictly required for filming.

Monday, August 24, the following roads will be closed:

• Avenue J.F. Kennedy
• Boulevard Louis II
• Route de la Piscine, between the Louis Chiron car park and Quai des États-Unis.

Tuesday, August 25, closures will affect:

• Boulevard Albert Ier
• Avenue de la Costa
• Costa slip road
• Avenue d’Ostende and Sainte-Dévote roundabout
• Passage de la Porte Rouge
• Boulevard de Suisse, between Avenue Roqueville and Avenue de la Costa
• Rocher Albert Ier Tunnel
• Avenue Henry Dunant

• Avenue Princesse Alice, between Avenue de la Costa and Square Beaumarchais
• Rue Suffren Reymond, between Rue Louis Notari and Boulevard Albert Ier
• Rue Louis Notari, between Rue Suffren Reymond and Boulevard Albert Ier
• Rue Princesse Antoinette.

Traffic direction will also be modified. Vehicles coming from Quai Antoine Ier will have to head towards the Rocher-Noghès Tunnel, while vehicles coming from Boulevard Louis II will have to proceed towards Route de la Piscine. The one-way direction on Rue Suffren Reymond will also be reversed on certain sections, while two-way traffic will be introduced on Rue Louis Notari, between Rue Suffren Reymond and Rue Princesse Antoinette.

Wednesday, August 26, the following roads will be affected:

• Avenue des Citronniers
• Avenue Princesse Grace, between Avenue des Spélugues and the Portier roundabout
• Avenue de la Madone, between Avenue de Grande-Bretagne and Avenue des Spélugues
• Avenue des Spélugues.

Thursday, August 27, closures will affect a wider area of Monte-Carlo:

• Place du Casino
• Avenue d’Ostende
• Boulevard Albert Ier
• Avenue de Monte-Carlo
• Avenue des Spélugues
• Avenue de la Madone, between Avenue de Grande-Bretagne and Avenue des Spélugues
• Avenue des Citronniers

• Avenue Princesse Grace, between Avenue des Spélugues and the Portier roundabout
• Avenue Princesse Alice
• Avenue de la Costa
• Costa slip road.

Friday, August 28, the following roads will be closed:

• Avenue des Spélugues
• Avenue des Citronniers
• Avenue d’Ostende
• Avenue J.F. Kennedy
• Boulevard Louis II
• Avenue de la Madone, between Avenue de Grande-Bretagne and Avenue des Spélugues
• Avenue Princesse Grace
• Portier roundabout
• Larvotto slip road
• Costa slip road.

In addition, the traffic direction at the Portier roundabout will be reversed from Rue du Portier towards Avenue Princesse Grace.

Parking restrictions until August 28

The traffic measures will be accompanied by several temporary parking restrictions.

Until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 28, parking will be prohibited on Quai Antoine Ier, specifically in front of number 4bis.

Additional parking restrictions will apply on different days, generally between 3 a.m. and 11 a.m., affecting Quai des États-Unis, Avenue J.F. Kennedy, Boulevard Louis II, Boulevard Albert Ier, Avenue de la Costa, Avenue d’Ostende, Rue Louis Notari, Rue Suffren Reymond, Avenue des Spélugues, Avenue de la Madone, Avenue des Citronniers and other roads involved in the filming.

Avenue des Citronniers, in particular, will be subject to an extended parking ban from 3 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 28.

CAM urban buses: changes until 10 a.m.

The film shootings will also affect CAM urban bus services. From Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28, from the start of service until 10 a.m., several stops will not be served.

Line 1 will be affected in both directions, with numerous stops not served between Port Hercule, Monte-Carlo, Sainte-Dévote and the Casino area.

Line 2 will also be subject to diversions and temporary suspension of several stops, while Line 3 will not serve certain stops in the areas of Fontvieille, Port Hercule and Sainte-Dévote.

Line 4 will not be affected.

For Line 5, the terminus will be changed from its usual location at Larvotto, with modifications to stops between Place du Casino, Portier, Grimaldi Forum and Larvotto.

Line 6 will not operate until 10 a.m.

Line X1 will not be affected, while Line X2 will terminate at Monte-Carlo and will not serve the Portier stop. Line X3 will not operate until 10 a.m.

ZOU! interurban buses: changes to lines 600 and 80

The changes will also affect ZOU! interurban bus services from Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28, from the start of service until 10 a.m.

On Line 600, towards Menton, the Place d’Armes (Tunnel Serravalle) and Princesse Antoinette stops will not be served and will be replaced by Pont Sainte-Dévote. Towards Nice, the Monte-Carlo (Casino), Place Sainte-Dévote and Place d’Armes stops will not be served, with alternative stops at Crémaillère, Pont Sainte-Dévote and Honoré II.

Line 80 will be affected in both directions, with stops not served in the areas of Place d’Armes, Princesse Antoinette, Les Spélugues, Grimaldi Forum, Larvotto, Sporting Bay Hotel and Monte-Carlo Casino. Alternative stops will be provided at Pont Sainte-Dévote, Office de Tourisme, Place des Moulins, Crémaillère and Honoré II.

For buses departing from and terminating in Monaco, departures will be made from the Saint-Roman MC stop.

Further traffic changes possible

The authorities point out that, depending on the requirements of the film production, the traffic measures may be modified. Anyone travelling around Monaco until August 28 is therefore advised to pay close attention to road signs and information concerning closures, diversions, parking restrictions and changes to public transport services.
