MONACO – Science will take centre stage in the Principality with Fête de la Science 2026, taking place on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Salle Léo Ferré, inside the Carrefour shopping centre in Monaco.

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., residents, families and visitors will be invited to take part in an afternoon dedicated to science outreach, research and discovery, with activities, meetings and demonstrations organised by numerous scientific institutions and organisations in the Principality.

Fête de la Science 2026 in Monaco

The 2026 edition of the event, UNESCO-labelled, will bring together a wide range of scientific, institutional and non-profit organisations from Monaco.

The initiative aims to bring science closer to the public through a programme designed to make scientific topics, research activities and projects developed in Monaco more accessible.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about organisations working in a variety of fields, including scientific research, environmental protection, healthcare, biodiversity and archaeology, as well as the conservation of marine ecosystems.

Musée d’Anthropologie Préhistorique and Centre Scientifique de Monaco

Among the key participants will be the Musée d’Anthropologie Préhistorique and the Centre Scientifique de Monaco, two leading institutions in the Principality’s scientific and research landscape.

Their participation will give visitors an opportunity to discover their research activities and projects through presentations, demonstrations and interactive activities.

Fête de la Science will therefore also provide a chance to show the public how scientific research is carried out and applied in practice, highlighting its role in understanding the territory and protecting the environment.

Science, environment and healthcare

The event will bring together numerous organisations working across different scientific and environmental fields.

Participants will include the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, the Spéléo Club de Monaco, the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace (CHPG), the Association Monégasque pour la Protection de la Nature (AMPN), the Jardin Animalier de Monaco and the Jardin Exotique de Monaco.

Other participating organisations will include Pelagos, CIESM, ACCOBAMS, RAMOGE, the Association Monégasque de Préhistoire and the IAEA.

The variety of organisations involved will provide visitors with a broad overview of scientific and environmental activities carried out in the Principality and across the Mediterranean region.

An afternoon dedicated to discovering research

Fête de la Science is designed to encourage direct interaction between the public and the scientific community. The programme will feature activities, presentations, demonstrations and meetings, giving visitors the opportunity to explore scientific topics through accessible and engaging formats.
