The countdown to the 29th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique has officially begun. Four starting cities for the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique

The start of the 29th edition will be spread across several European cities. On Thursday, January 28, 2027, competitors will set off from Bad Homburg, Barcelona, Monte-Carlo and Reims.

The following day, January 29, the rally will reach Pont-de-l’Isère, marking the beginning of the next stage of the competition.

The route will then enter the Vercors massif, with the first timed stages, including Col Gaudissart/Bouvante and Col de Tourniol/Barbières.

The day will finish in Valence, a traditional stage town for the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique.

Drôme and Ardèche take center stage

The program will continue with two demanding days between Drôme and Ardèche, territories that have long been associated with the roads and landscapes of the Monte-Carlo rally.

Among the scheduled stages are Lalouvesc/Saint-Jeure-d’Andaure and the legendary Lachamp-Raphaël/Burzet.

The winding roads and elevation changes of the French hinterland will once again provide one of the defining challenges of the rally, testing the crews’ precision and their ability to maintain the required regularity speeds.

From the Diois to the Alps: the decisive phase

On February 1, 2027, the rally will move towards the Diois massif and the Aup mountain, including a passage over the Col de Carabès.

The competition will then enter its final phase, with the route gradually moving towards the Monaco region.

The final stage, scheduled for Tuesday, February 2, will introduce another organizational change: staggered starts every 30 seconds.

Crews will face more than 500 kilometers, crossing some of the most challenging sections of the route.

The scheduled stages include Montauban-sur-l’Ouvèze/Eygalayes and Seyne-les-Alpes/Esclangon, before the major night-time finale on La Bollène-Vésubie/Moulinet.

Return to Monaco and the grand finale at Port Hercule

The most eagerly awaited moment will come in the evening, with the return to the Principality.

The finish at Port Hercule in Monaco is scheduled from 7:50 p.m., bringing competitors back to the heart of the Principality after a long day of competition.

This will lead into the official conclusion of the event on Wednesday, February 3, 2027.

As tradition dictates, the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique will end with the Gala Evening and Awards Ceremony, held at the prestigious Salle des Étoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo.

It will provide a fitting finale to an event combining competition, automotive history and international prestige.
