Due to several days of unsettled weather, which has notably caused heavy swells, the beach leveling work at Larvotto, which began on March 31, has had to be temporarily suspended for safety and marine environmental protection reasons.
As a result, the operation, which was initially scheduled to be completed by Friday, April 18, will now be extended by one week, until Friday, April 25 inclusive.
As a precautionary measure for public safety, swimming and diving will be prohibited in both coves of Larvotto until that date.
Restaurants and shops within the beach complex will remain open without restriction.
As a reminder, these works are being carried out, as they were last year, to welcome visitors under the best possible conditions as the summer season approaches.
Conducted from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the goal is to reduce the slope of the beach, which became significantly steeper during the winter, in order to ensure sufficient capacity and improve the safety of access to swimming areas.
Throughout the season, regular maintenance will be carried out to preserve the width and gentle slope of the beach, without causing further closures or limiting access to swimmers.
