Enhanced measures on the occasion of events that may lead to inappropriate behavior and dangerous driving by drivers of large-displacement vehicles on public roads.
The Princely Government draws attention to the fact that certain particularly attractive events can cause significant concentrations of vehicles, likely to generate significant public order disturbances. Often unscheduled, these gatherings of sports cars can lead to the commission of proven traffic offenses and inappropriate and dangerous behavior.
The aim of the Princely Government is to curb the aforementioned phenomena, but also to more effectively combat those responsible for occasional disturbances and thus preserve the public peace and safety of the Principality’s residents. Therefore, similar to the measures taken during previous editions, the immobilization period for vehicles in violation is reinforced during the following events:
- 81st Monaco Formula One Grand Prix – from May 23 to 26, 2024;
- Top Marques Monaco 2024 – from June 5 to 9, 2024.
In the event of a traffic code violation, the immediate immobilization of the vehicle will be extended to a duration of 120 hours.
