On Monday, February 12, Mrs. Marie-Catherine CARUSO-RAVERA, Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations, representing the Government Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, received during a lunch organized at the Hotel Hermitage, H.E. Ricardo NEIVA TAVARES, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil, H.E. Leyla ABDULLAYEVA, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Raúl Eduardo FERNÁNDEZ DAZA, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Chile, and H.E. Kenneth RACOMBO, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles.
In the morning, these diplomats presented their letters of credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince. H.E. Ricardo NEIVA TAVARES began his diplomatic career in 1980 and, after holding various positions both at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and abroad, was appointed Ambassador of Brazil to the European Communities from 2008 to 2013 and subsequently to the European Union. In 2013, he was appointed Ambassador of Brazil to Italy, Malta, and San Marino, and later Ambassador to Austria and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations based in Vienna in 2016. He has been the Ambassador of Brazil to France since June 2023.
H.E. Leyla ABDULLAYEVA started her career in 2002 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2005, she served diplomatic functions at the Representation of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), then in 2011 at the Embassy of her country to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Representation to the European Union, before returning to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2015. On October 17, 2022, she was appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to France.
H.E. Raúl Eduardo FERNÁNDEZ DAZA worked since 1980 at various embassies and the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as Chief of Staff to the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs between 2010 and 2012. He was subsequently promoted Ambassador of Chile to Haiti in February 2013, then to the European Union, the Kingdom of Belgium, and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in March 2017, and in 2021, to Canada. Since June 2023, he has been appointed Ambassador of Chile to France.
H.E. Kenneth Jacques Gervais RACOMBO began his career in 2002 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Seychelles until 2017, then at the Southern African Development Community (SADC). In 2019, he was appointed Secretary-General of the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy. Since 2022, he has been appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles to Belgium, accredited to the Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, as well as to the European Union and the United Nations Office in Geneva.
