There is time until Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11:59 a.m. to register for #AREASANREMO24, participate in the auditions in November at Palafiori in Sanremo, and take part in many activities—designed to enhance the knowledge and journey of the contestants—that will be announced next week.
The finalists of Area Sanremo 2024 will have the chance to perform on Saturday, November 23, in front of Carlo Conti and the RAI commission, which will select the two young talents who will compete in the Sanremo Giovani final, hosted by Alessandro Cattelan, broadcast on December 18 in prime time on Rai 1 live from the Teatro dell’Opera at the Sanremo Casino.
Among the eight contestants, only four (3 from Sanremo Giovani and 1 from Area Sanremo) will pass the selection and fulfill their dream: performing in the “Nuove Proposte” category at the Sanremo Festival 2025, which will be held from February 11 to 15 at the Teatro Ariston.
For the Sanremo Giovani final, the evaluation of the artists will be entrusted to the Music Commission and, through Televoting, to the public, each weighing 50%.
It’s an unmissable opportunity for those who dream of performing at the Festival and for those who, beyond the result, wish to grow artistically.
After the registration deadline, the audition calls—concentrated over a week in the second half of November—will be published on the website www.area-sanremo.it/2024, along with the program of educational initiatives and side events designed to enrich the experience of the candidates who reach Sanremo.
“Year after year, we’ve aimed to grow what we have named the ‘Area Sanremo Experience.’ We want to offer young talents the opportunity to return home after the audition—regardless of the outcome—enriched with knowledge, encounters, and experiences useful for their journey,” recalls lawyer Filippo Biolé, president of the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra.
Maestro Giancarlo de Lorenzo, artistic director of the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra Foundation, adds: “Whatever the final outcome of the competition, our Foundation organizes visibility and growth opportunities for the Area Sanremo young talents that go far beyond the audition period. The side activities we will propose will be a valuable moment of meeting and mutual knowledge. We would like to involve some talents in some of the Orchestra’s productions, as happened this summer with the Amii Stewart concerts, the tribute to Vittorio De Scalzi, and the special project ‘From Puglia to Sanremo: The Most Beautiful Festival Songs’ in Polignano a Mare.”
