Nice Carnival
The Nice Carnival, France’s first internationally recognized carnival, is the most important winter event on the French Riviera. Two weeks of celebrations animate the city of Nice – This unmissable event features day and night “Carnival Parades” and elegant “Battles of Flowers.” Many decorated and animated floats in line with the season’s theme parade to the rhythm of street art companies and musical groups from various origins (from around the world), all in a colorful, festive, and family-friendly atmosphere.

Nice Jazz Festival
Considered one of the first jazz festivals to gain international fame, the Nice festival takes place this year in July.
It debuted in the late ’40s, just after World War II, but it wasn’t until 1971 that the Nice Jazz Festival became an annual event. It is one of the major musical events on the French Riviera and celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.
