Thursday Live Sessions Monaco 2026-2027: Eight Free Concerts at the Grimaldi Forum’s Espace Indigo

Live music returns to the Espace Indigo at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco with the new Thursday Live Sessions 2026-2027 season. From October 2026 to June 2027, eight evenings will bring artists and bands from different musical backgrounds to the stage, with a programme ranging from rock and pop to blues, electronic music, funk and indie.

Launched in 2015, the Thursday Live Sessions have become a regular event dedicated to discovering and experiencing live music in an intimate and informal setting. The concept remains the same: one Thursday each month, an Apéromix from 6:30 pm, followed by a live concert at 8:30 pm.

Another key feature is free admission, with booking recommended due to the Espace Indigo’s limited capacity of around 200 people.

Thursday Live Sessions 2026-2027: the Monaco concert programme

The new season features eight concerts spread between autumn 2026 and summer 2027. Friedberg will open the programme, while Voilaaa Sound System will bring the season to a close.

October 15, 2026 – Friedberg

The Thursday Live Sessions Monaco 2026-2027 will open with Friedberg, the band formed in 2019 around Anna Friedberg.

On stage, Anna Friedberg — vocals, guitar, songwriting, cowbells and percussion — will be joined by Emily Linden on guitar and vocals, Cheryl Pinero on bass and vocals, and Fifi Dewey on drums.

The band’s sound combines post-punk, alternative rock and pop, creating an energetic and eclectic musical identity. Their single Go Wild was featured on the FIFA 20 soundtrack and in the BBC series Normal People.

Friedberg have performed at European festivals including Eurosonic, Open Air St. Gallen, Popfest Vienna and Haldern Pop, as well as touring the United States. The band has also shared the stage with artists such as Hot Chip, Placebo, Giant Rooks and Big Special.

November 5, 2026 – Jimmy Gnecco / OURS

The second concert will feature Jimmy Gnecco, singer and central figure of OURS, for an evening combining alternative rock and dark pop.

Gnecco’s distinctive voice has shaped the sound of OURS, whose discography includes albums such as Distorted Lullabies, Precious, Mercy, Ballet The Boxer, New Age Heroine and Rocket’s Red Glare.

In 2010, the artist also released the solo album The Heart. Throughout his career, he has worked with musicians and producers including Rick Rubin, Steve Lillywhite, Ethan Johns and Tim Palmer, and has shared studio and live experiences with Stone Temple Pilots, A-ha, Slash and Velvet Revolver.

December 17, 2026 – Dirty Deep

The final Thursday Live Sessions event of 2026 will feature Dirty Deep, a French band rooted in the world of heavy blues.

The group is led by Victor Sbrovazzo, joined by Geoffroy Sourp on drums and Adam Lanfrey on bass. Originally built around a direct and instinctive approach to blues, the project gradually evolved into its current trio format.

Their discography includes Foreshots, an acoustic album released in 2020, and Trompe l’oeil, released in 2023. The band subsequently continued its musical journey with Upstream Shake, developing a sound that brings together blues, rock and more energetic influences.

January 14, 2027 – The Spitfires

The new year will begin with The Spitfires, a British band known for energetic rock with strong links to the country’s rich musical tradition.

The January concert will bring a distinctly British rock sound to the Espace Indigo, combining contemporary energy with references to the great British bands.

March 25, 2027 – Elephanz

On March 25, Elephanz will take the stage, bringing their distinctive blend of electro-pop and pop to Monaco.

Their music combines catchy melodies with sensitive songwriting, creating a contemporary sound that represents another facet of the diverse musical programme of the Thursday Live Sessions.

April 8, 2027 – Komodor

On April 8, 2027, the spotlight will turn to Komodor, a band associated with high-energy rock.

After several tours across France and Europe, the group will bring its powerful, free-spirited and generous approach to rock to the Espace Indigo.

June 17, 2027 – Voilaaa Sound System

The season will close with Voilaaa Sound System on June 17, 2027.

For the final Thursday Live Sessions of the season, the project will bring together electro, funk and groove, creating a festive atmosphere designed to close the programme on an energetic note.

A live music format at the heart of the Grimaldi Forum Monaco

The Thursday Live Sessions stand out for a format that places the direct connection between artists and audiences at the centre of the experience.

The Espace Indigo, an intimate venue within the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, provides a more informal setting than a traditional large-scale concert hall and allows audiences to experience live music at close range.

Since their launch in 2015, the Thursday Live Sessions have presented almost 70 concerts, welcoming artists and bands from a wide range of musical genres. The programme continues to explore different musical worlds, from electronic music and pop to rock, hip-hop, indie, funk and blues.
