Monaco City Hall Is Recruiting 13 People for the 2026 Christmas

As the Christmas season approaches, the Monaco City Hall (Mairie de Monaco) is preparing the programme of events that will animate the Principality from late November through early January. To strengthen the teams working during this busy period, the Service Animation de la Ville has launched a temporary recruitment campaign.

A total of 13 positions are available for the period from 22 November 2026 to 8 January 2027. The selected candidates will be involved in activities organised as part of the end-of-year celebrations, including the traditional Christmas Village at Port Hercule, one of Monaco’s most popular winter attractions.

Thirteen positions available for the festive season

The recruitment campaign covers 13 positions with different levels of responsibility. Specifically, Monaco City Hall is looking for 2 Brigadiers des Surveillants, 2 Brigadiers Adjoints des Surveillants and 9 Surveillants.

The successful candidates will join the teams of the Service Animation de la Ville and help ensure the smooth running of activities and events during the festive period.

Their duties will primarily involve supervising and managing areas hosting public events, with particular attention to activities expected to attract large numbers of residents and visitors.

From 22 November 2026 to 8 January 2027

The assignment covers one of the busiest periods in Monaco’s annual events calendar. During the festive season, the Principality hosts a range of activities for both residents and visitors.

Working hours will be organised into two shifts: 8 am to 4 pm or 2 pm to 10 pm.

Flexibility is an important requirement, as staff may also be required to work Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, depending on the needs of the service and the event schedule.

Christmas Village at Port Hercule

One of the main events requiring additional staff will be the Christmas Village at Port Hercule, a central feature of Monaco’s Christmas celebrations.

During the festive period, the village transforms the port into a family-friendly area filled with entertainment and seasonal activities. The presence of Service Animation staff will help with the supervision and management of the site, particularly during peak attendance periods.

Requirements for applicants

Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Additional professional requirements apply to the Brigadier and Brigadier Adjoint positions. Candidates for these roles must have experience in surveillance or security-related duties, together with the ability to manage a team or assist a team leader.

For the Surveillant positions, applicants must meet the requirements specified in the relevant vacancy notices.
