Nice is preparing to host a major celebration dedicated to cycling and sustainable mobility. On Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Quai des États-Unis will be transformed into the heart of the event “Nice fête le Tour au féminin”, a free public initiative open to residents, tourists and cycling enthusiasts.
The event serves as an official preview of one of the summer’s most anticipated sporting moments: the arrival of the Tour de France Femmes 2026, scheduled to take place in Nice on August 8 and 9, with a spectacular finish along the Promenade des Anglais.
With this event, Nice reaffirms its position as a leading European destination for outdoor sports and international cycling. Already known for hosting world-class sporting events, the city is preparing to welcome one of the most important women’s cycling competitions in the world.
The arrival of the Tour de France Femmes 2026 will bring thousands of spectators and elite athletes to the French Riviera, turning Nice into a global showcase for women’s cycling.
To celebrate the occasion, the City of Nice, in collaboration with local cycling associations, is organizing a full-scale cycling village open to all.
The program includes a wide range of free activities for all ages:
The “Village Nice Fête le Tour” aims to promote active lifestyles and environmentally friendly transportation in an engaging and accessible way.
One of the highlights of the day will be the cyclosportive organized by Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur Sports. Open to all with free registration, the race will start at 8 a.m. from the Quai des États-Unis.
The course covers 87 kilometers with 1,321 meters of elevation gain, following the same route that professional riders will compete on during the Tour de France Femmes final stage in August.
Amateur cyclists will have the unique opportunity to ride the same roads as the world’s best female athletes.
The event will also include educational activities. At 10:20 a.m., the Mayor of Nice will award the winners of the “Dictée du Tour de France”, an initiative combining sport, culture and learning held on May 11.
Top students will receive bicycles as prizes, reinforcing the city’s commitment to encouraging physical activity among younger generations.
With “Nice fête le Tour au féminin”, the city further consolidates its identity as a dynamic, sustainable and internationally recognized sports hub.
From amateur participation to elite competition, Nice continues to position itself as one of Europe’s leading cycling destinations ahead of a landmark summer in 2026.
