From 25 to 30 May 2026, Puget-Théniers will host the third edition of the Printemps de la Santé, a week-long public health initiative focused on prevention and nutrition. The program includes free events, workshops, screenings, and educational activities aimed at residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

The initiative is promoted by the Alpes-Maritimes Department, the Communauté de Communes Alpes d’Azur, the Municipality of Puget-Théniers, the CPTS H3VE, and the local Departmental Health Center, confirming its role as a key public health event in rural areas.

Printemps de la Santé 2026: health starts with food

The 2026 edition focuses on “nutri-health”, highlighting the link between balanced nutrition and disease prevention. The goal is to raise awareness of how daily food choices directly impact health and quality of life.

As stated by Department President Charles Ange Ginésy, public health depends not only on healthcare systems but also on education, environment, mobility, and access to quality food.

The initiative aims to bring prevention closer to citizens with practical tools and accessible guidance.

A community-driven event for prevention and education

Launched in 2023, the Printemps de la Santé has quickly become a reference event for the local community. After focusing on sports and social vulnerability in previous editions, 2026 highlights sustainable nutrition, including topics such as seasonality, food labelling, waste reduction, and short supply chains.

The initiative brings together institutions, healthcare professionals, associations, and agricultural actors in a shared effort to strengthen social cohesion and address challenges such as medical desertification in rural areas.

Free screenings and health activities for all ages

Throughout the week, the Departmental Health Center will offer free preventive services, including:

  • diabetes screening and health checks
  • personalized nutrition consultations
  • adv-943
  • guidance on local healthcare services
  • educational programs for families and young people

Workshops and school-based activities will also be organized across the region.

Programme highlights: Puget-Théniers 2026

26 May – official opening and meeting of around 60 health and social professionals
27 May – educational workshops on nutrition and health for children and families
29 May – early childhood health day with activities on motor skills, nutrition, and prevention, followed by an evening film debate
30 May – closing “Health Village” in the town center with stands, activities, sports, and a local farmers’ market

A “One Health” approach: linking health, environment, and territory

The 2026 edition is part of the Territorial Food Project (PAT) and follows a One Health approach, connecting human health, ecosystems, and environmental sustainability.

The slogan “eat better to live better” translates into concrete actions: supporting local producers, promoting sustainable food systems, and reducing food waste.

Puget-Théniers and a culture of prevention

With the Printemps de la Santé 2026, Puget-Théniers reinforces its role as a territorial hub for public health innovation, where prevention, nutrition, and social cohesion come together in a shared community project.
