On Friday, 6 March 2026, the Espace Léo Ferré will host POWHER 2026, the event dedicated to International Women’s Rights Day, organised for the third consecutive year by the Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Rights. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors will be invited to explore the journey of women’s lives through immersive experiences combining sport, health and everyday life, while highlighting the inequalities that still persist in society.

In the heart of the Principality of Monaco, the exhibition space will be transformed into an original setting where sport becomes both a language and a tool for reflection. A photographic exhibition by Sébastien Salamand, known as Le Turk, will showcase six sports practised by Monegasque female athletes — rugby, football, basketball, judo, athletics and gymnastics — offering insight into the challenges, achievements and determination of women, in sport as in life.

The event adopts an approach that is both educational and engaging. As explained by Céline Cottalorda, Interministerial Delegate for Women’s Rights, the aim is to highlight the differences between female and male life cycles and the inequalities that may arise from them, while addressing topics ranging from stereotypes in sport to key stages of women’s health and the legacy passed on to future generations.

Among the day’s highlights, an interactive trail game will guide visitors through the various stages of a woman’s life. The journey will lead to the discovery of a “secret word” and culminate in a collective artwork by Mr One Teas, an artist and ambassador for women’s rights, whose installation invites reflection on equality in all areas of society.

The programme also places a strong emphasis on youth engagement. From 6 p.m., the hemicycle of the National Council will host the second edition of the eloquence competition on the theme “A Story of Equality: from Ego to Equals”, open to secondary school students from the Principality. The competition will be broadcast live on Monaco Info, with registrations open until 15 February 2026.

Admission to POWHER 2026 is free of charge. The full programme and competition registration details are available on dfm.mc, as well as on the Committee’s Facebook and Instagram channels.
