
As of 18 December 2025, adult residents of the Principality of Monaco can apply for their administrative residence certificate online and pay the associated fees directly on MonGuichet.mc.
From now on, purchasing a tax stamp is no longer required for online applications: payment is fully integrated, secure and immediate, making the administrative process significantly easier.
To support this change, a transitional period has been introduced, during which two certificate formats will coexist:
Certificates requested online will not include a tax stamp
Certificates requested in paper format will continue to feature a physical tax stamp affixed
👉 Both versions are officially recognised and may circulate in parallel without restriction.
This new digital service has been developed to simplify procedures while ensuring the full legal validity of certificates with all relevant organisations:
For residents: a faster, simpler process, with no need to travel to purchase a tax stamp
For recipient institutions: the guarantee that the new digital format is fully valid and accepted
This project was carried out jointly by the Public Security Department and the Digital Services Department, as part of the ongoing modernisation of public services in the Principality.
For users who prefer it, the procedure remains available in paper format, directly at the Residents Section counter, with the prior purchase of a tax stamp.
