Today, the Principality of Monaco is in full celebration mode. On November 19, as tradition dictates, the Fête du Prince takes place—one of the most anticipated institutional events of the year, a moment of national unity and a tribute to the Sovereign Family.
The day opens with its most solemn moment: the Te Deum at the Monaco Cathedral, attended by the members of the Princely Family, authorities, and institutional representatives. A ritual that year after year highlights the continuity of Monegasque history and the deep connection between the Sovereign and the people.
Throughout the day, the Palace Square comes alive with events, military displays, and symbolic moments marking the National Day, making it a can’t-miss occasion for residents, visitors, and onlookers.
For days now, the city has been adorned in red and white: the Mairie has launched the preparations that transform Monaco into a mosaic of flags and decorations. Since November 3, the teams of the Pôle Manifestations des Services Techniques Communaux have worked to install festoons and national-coloured drapes—an impressive operation carried out by two teams:
– a day team, handling manual installations;
– a night team, responsible for the more complex tasks.
The new feature for 2025 is the addition of new oriflammes in the upper part of Avenue de Fontvieille, extending the decorated area. The pavoisement will remain in place until December 9, when removal begins.
As every year, the municipality invites residents and Monegasques to participate by displaying flags and drapes on façades, balconies, and windows: a simple yet symbolic gesture expressing attachment to the Princely Family and to the Principality.
With Monaco wrapped in red and white and celebrations enlivening every corner of the city, the Principality is experiencing a Fête du Prince 2025 marked by great participation and meaning.
