As the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) takes place in Seville (Spain) from June 30 to July 3, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) published on Wednesday, June 11, the 2025 donor profile of various countries, including Monaco.

By reporting for the first time to the OECD in 2023 the amounts allocated by the Prince’s Government to Official Development Assistance (ODA), Monaco officially joined the international community of solidarity-oriented nations.

With a solidarity effort of €637 per capita per year for the period 2022–2024, the Principality ranks among the most committed countries in the world on a per capita basis, thereby enhancing its international presence. In a global context marked by often drastic reductions in international solidarity budgets, Monaco is strengthening its commitment for the next three years with an increased ODA budget, as has been the case since 2012.

Monaco’s Official Development Assistance policy is aligned with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Its priorities include fighting poverty and reducing inequalities, with a particular focus on Least Developed Countries. Environmental protection is also a key area of the Principality’s solidarity efforts. In this regard, Monaco stands out as the leading per capita contributor to the Green Climate Fund, the main multilateral financial instrument dedicated to combating climate change in developing countries.
