From May 25 to June 13, 2026, Madrid will host the 8th edition of the Forum des Artistes de Monaco, one of the most important cultural events dedicated to promoting artists from the Principality. The exhibition will take place at the prestigious Pavillon Villanueva of the Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid, offering an international showcase for contemporary Monegasque art.

The event, strongly supported by the Princely Government and organized by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Monaco, is a biennial initiative created to support local artists by providing them with a public exhibition space open to art lovers and international visitors.

A special edition for the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Monaco and Spain

The 2026 edition carries a particularly symbolic and institutional significance, as it is part of the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the diplomatic representation of the Principality of Monaco in Spain.

For this special occasion, the Embassy of Monaco in Spain is also co-organizing the event, helping to promote the vitality of Monegasque artistic creation and strengthen cultural dialogue between the two countries.

The Forum therefore becomes not only an art exhibition, but also a tool of cultural diplomacy, capable of telling Monaco’s story through the talent of its artists and the richness of its contemporary artistic production.

More than 50 artists showcasing painting, sculpture, and photography

More than fifty professional and amateur artists, either Monegasque nationals or residents of the Principality, will present their works during the Forum.

The exhibition will offer a broad and diverse panorama of contemporary visual arts, featuring painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media techniques, including innovative experimental works that reflect the dynamism and diversity of the local artistic scene.

The goal is to highlight not only established names but also emerging talents who are helping to make Monaco an increasingly active cultural center on the international art scene.

The unique charm of Madrid’s Royal Botanical Garden

Adding even more prestige to the event is its exceptional venue: the Pavillon Villanueva, located inside the famous Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid, one of the most fascinating cultural landmarks of the Spanish capital.

This extraordinary setting creates a powerful dialogue between art and nature, offering visitors an immersive experience where botanical heritage and artistic expression meet in a single elegant environment.

The exhibition is therefore set to become one of the most anticipated international cultural events of spring 2026.

As in previous editions, the public will once again be able to actively participate through the Prix du Public, the Public Prize.

Before the official opening of the exhibition, art enthusiasts from Monaco, Spain, and around the world will be able to vote online for their favorite artwork directly on the official Forum des Artistes website.

The winner of this recognition will be celebrated during the Madrid exhibition and will receive special visibility within the Forum, confirming the strong public engagement at the heart of the event.

A cultural bridge between Monaco and Madrid

The Forum des Artistes de Monaco 2026 confirms the central role of culture as a tool for international connection and territorial promotion.

Through this major exhibition, the Principality strengthens its cultural image abroad, offering local artists a prestigious platform while consolidating the historic relationship between Monaco and Spain.

An event that combines art, diplomacy, and international vision, transforming Madrid into a showcase of excellence for contemporary Monegasque creativity.
