The Literary Council of the Prince Pierre Foundation of Monaco, chaired by H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, met on Wednesday, May 14 at the Ritz Hotel in Paris to select the authors shortlisted for the Literary Prize and the Discovery Grant.
After extensive and fruitful discussions, the Council members selected the following authors:
• The Literary Prize:
Created in 1951, this prize honors a renowned French-language writer for their entire body of work, on the occasion of the publication of a recent book.

• The Discovery Grant:
Established in 2001 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Literary Prize, this grant is awarded to a Francophone author upon the publication of their first work of fiction.

The winners of the Literary Prize and the Discovery Grant will be announced during the Foundation’s Prize Award Ceremony on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Opéra Garnier in Monaco.
