The new police station at the Jardin Exotique was inaugurated on Wednesday, April 30, by Ms. Charlotte Casiraghi, the Patron of the Public Security Department, in the presence of Mr. Lionel Beffre, Government Counsellor – Minister of the Interior, representing H.E. the Acting Minister of State, Mr. Eric Arella, Controller in charge of the Public Security Department, the senior command staff, and Mr. Patrice Cellario, former Government Counsellor – Minister of the Interior.
Before Ms. Casiraghi spoke, Mr. Arella placed the project in its strategic and security context, emphasizing its importance for the Principality: “The facility before us reflects a clear intent to strengthen the presence of the Monegasque Police at the borders of the national territory. The new police station at the Jardin Exotique complements an already established presence in the border zone of the Saint-Roman district, in the East of the Principality, and serves as its counterpart in the Western sector.”
Father Julien Gollino, Chaplain of the Public Security Department, then conducted the blessing and recited the police officer’s prayer. The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of the inauguration plaque by the Patron of the Public Security Department.
With an area of 125 m², the new station includes a reception area, offices, a rest space, technical rooms, and two holding cells.
With this new facility, the Public Security Department now operates 14 police stations in Monaco, thereby strengthening the Principality’s security coverage and territorial presence.
