On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Pierre-André CHIAPPORI, Government Counsellor–Minister of Finance and Economy, today welcomed Keisuke SHIMOYAMADA, JCI World President for 2025, to his office.
This meeting took place in the presence of leaders of the Junior Economic Chamber of Monaco (JCEM), the highly active local branch of this global network of committed young leaders.
The JCEM plays an active role in supporting JCI projects, which are structured around four major opportunity pillars:
Entrepreneurship and economic development
Personal growth
International cooperation
Positive impact in service of communities
With more than 150,000 members across 120 countries, JCI collaborates with major institutions such as the United Nations and the International Chamber of Commerce.
It leads large-scale initiatives such as the Universal Declaration of Human Duties (internationalhumanduties.com), the JCI in Business network, the Creative Young Entrepreneur competition (creative-young-entrepreneur.com)—which, in fact, originated from a Monegasque initiative—as well as training programs, four regional conferences, and a World Congress that gathers over 15,000 participants each year.
For Pierre-André CHIAPPORI, the meeting was an opportunity to emphasize the importance of youth entrepreneurship, which is much more than a mere opportunity: it is a vital energy source that shapes the future of the Principality.
Networking and economic exchanges are now more essential than ever; they foster dialogue between nations. Through the JCI network and the commitment of national chambers, we trade together and learn from one another.
