The final week of the Nice Carnival has begun, with a rich and varied program of events that promise to excite the public until the grand finale. Here are the main events from Tuesday, February 25, 2025, to Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Illuminated Parade

  • Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 8:30 PM: “Les étudiants fêtent Carnaval”, with the participation of FACE 06
  • Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 8:30 PM: Closing with the grand Carnival farewell party, the burning of the King, and fireworks at sea (free access).

Flower Battle

  • Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 2:30 PM
  • Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2:30 PM

Carnival Village Night

  • Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM: Carnival Village – Square Leclerc, Promenade du Paillon. A lively evening with sardines, socca, live music, and an “unusual” program. Everyone is invited to join in costume to dance, play, and enjoy the festivities! The evening will be presented by France Bleu Azur.

Lou Queernaval

  • Friday, February 28, 2025, at 8:30 PM – Place Massena: 10th anniversary of France’s first gay carnival. A free event that celebrates inclusivity, sharing, and togetherness, featuring a spectacular mix of batucadas, drag queens, and artistic performances. A unique occasion that attracts people from all backgrounds while keeping the traditional spirit of Nice’s Carnival alive with a touch of fun and madness!

Burning of the King and Fireworks

  • Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:45 PM – Quai des États-Unis, in front of the Opéra beach. The traditional burning of the King will close the Carnival with a breathtaking fireworks display.

Closing Ceremony

  • Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Opéra Plage, Quai des États-Unis and from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM: Carnival Village, Promenade du Paillon, Square Leclerc.
    The Carnival ends with the traditional “Great Carnival Swim,” followed by a parade of pointus, the typical Nice boats. Swimmers and spectators will gather at Opéra Plage, wearing festive costumes and adding a fun touch to their swimsuits.

  • 10:00 AM: Musical performances and the wind sculpture by Dutch artist Théo Jansen.
  • 11:45 AM: Great carnival swim (open to all).
  • 12:00 PM: Closing buffet.
