Friday, September 20, 1985: Serge Gainsbourg is in concert at the Casino de Paris. The first four weeks are sold out. When the fifth week of concerts was announced, young people lined up from 9 AM.
The artist confided upon returning to the stage: “Before the first show, my heart was beating like a Harley Davidson. I wondered how the little ones in the room would welcome me. I jumped on stage and played the most beautiful thing I had ever written in my life. Words and music. No boasting. I was sublimated by my American musicians. I told them, ‘Don’t count the measures, we will ride on emotions.’”
