Once again this year, the Municipality of Monaco is committed to spreading the Monegasque colors throughout every neighborhood in the Principality. As part of preparations for National Day, the teams from the Events Division of the Municipal Technical Services have been hard at work since Monday, November 4th, to install flags, banners, and pavilions that will dress the Principality in red and white for the upcoming celebration on November 19th.

To complete the job, two teams alternate day and night shifts. During the day, a team handles manual installation, often with the aid of ladders, while a night team focuses on mounting decorations that require the use of aerial platforms.

In total, the Municipal Technical Services will set up approximately 600 flags, 550 banners, and 90 pavilions throughout the city, with over 150 planned installations.

This year’s celebration features a few new additions: Boulevard de Belgique and its roundabout (in front of Princesse Antoinette Park) as well as the city’s entrance. Avenue Lazare Sauvaigo and Honoré II Promenade in front of Monte-Carlo Bay have also been decorated.
