Beer Festival
Antibes Jumelages, in collaboration with the City of Antibes and the Tourism Office, and in the presence of our twin city SCHWABISCH GMUND in Germany, are organizing a grand evening of beer and sauerkraut. In the presence of Mr. Jean LEONETTI, mayor of Antibes, and Richard ARNOLD, mayor of Schwäbisch Gmünd.
Musical entertainment will be provided by a German orchestra with 7 musicians and DJ ARMANDO. The sauerkraut will be prepared by a local restaurateur.
The Science and Innovation Village – The Future Open to All
Science comes to life at the Science and Innovation Village at the Palais des Congrès! Two days to discover science with family through stands, experiments, games, and various activities. At each booth, everyone will have the opportunity to experiment, test, exchange, and ask questions to the present scientists. Many activities are also scheduled for everyone: games, conferences, scientific films, debates, robotics programming, miniature autonomous vehicle races, solar observation, breathing workshops, exhibitions, demonstrations… Health, well-being, sustainable development, astronomy, digital technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, and more will be on the agenda.

No Ceremonial Needed
As a maritime and border city, Antibes has long needed to defend itself, and much of its heritage is directly inherited from this context. The Saracen towers, the ancient Grimaldi castle, the Fort Carré, the walls of the Saint-Jaume bastion, and the Saint-André bastion are all markers in our urban landscape of a violent reality—of the fear of attacks, looting, bombings—in a word, war.
But what is war? This year, the Fort Carré program offers perspectives and reflections on engagement, the duty of memory, and the trauma it generates: themed visits, workshops, museum cafés for discussions, a cinema-visit around Roberto Rossellini’s Paisà, and a theatrical walk in collaboration with the Antibes Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts.

In the Woods – Exhibition
Pauline Kalioujny is a French and Russian-Ukrainian painter, author, and illustrator. Through this exhibition, Anne Frank brings her fascinating world to life for young people and adults.
Trained at the Paris School of Decorative Arts, Pauline Kalioujny writes and illustrates books, practicing engraving, drawing, and painting. In her books, she enjoys exploring the links between words, images, and nature. She observes and draws animals of all kinds, developing a repertoire of personal forms, colors, and symbols. Among her most famous books are Un jardin en hiver, Promenons-nous dans les bois from the Thierry Magnier editions, Mon beau sapin from Seuil Jeunesse, or more recently L’isba de la mouche from Manga.
Aquagravure
Do you like art? The “Aquagravure”… Have you heard of it? In Antibes, in the heart of the Côte d’Azur, a unique and singular exhibition featuring prestigious artists. They have worked with a process invented by Bernard PRAS.
Vernissage on Friday, May 3 from 6 p.m., with the presence of Thierry LACAN from Estampe de Strasbourg and artist Bernard ALLIGAND.
Joan Miró. Masterpieces from the Nahmad Collection
From June 30 to January 12
The Picasso Museum offers a unique experience: twelve masterpieces by Joan Miró, from one of the most important private collections in the world, the Nahmad Collection.
Miró feels at home here, as a guest in the house of his friend. The friendship that, since their first meeting in Paris in 1920, linked the two artists for life also sparked their creative passion. The rooms feature a single artwork, sometimes two. Unlike traditional exhibitions that gather and associate works, this is about concentration and the contemplation and interpretation of the object in its singularity.

“CHATTERIES” (Cat Cuddles)
The Postcard Museum presents a temporary exhibition of vintage postcards featuring cats.
Domestic animals have often been used to illustrate postcards, with cats being among the most frequent subjects. Photographers and illustrators have provided numerous images, from large cats sleeping on a comfortable cushion to kittens. These illustrations can be found on postcards and wall calendars distributed by mail carriers. Both cases involve images that will be displayed for several months (especially for calendars). These naturalistic scenes have a calming, even beneficial, effect on those who view them.
Antibéa Theater
In the heart of old Antibes since 1989, the Antibéa Theater celebrates its 35th anniversary this year.
Highlights of September:
- Open Day of the Drama School, Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- September 15 at 7:00 p.m.: Cocktail presentation of the 2024-2025 season (free entry upon reservation).
From September 20 to October 6:
- The Iliad… The Assault, a work by Homer adapted by Bruno Marques and directed by Jean-François Buisson.
