The collective exhibition CONCRETE BEACHES, ARTIFICIAL LANDSCAPES builds around a hypothetical, abstract, metaphysical, uncertain scenario. The visitor is invited to consider it as a fictional narrative into which everyone can insert their allegory of a shared future. Each piece and object animates these fantasized futures, sometimes already realized. Inspired by the sparkling fantasies of J.G. Ballard’s first collection of short stories, Vermillion Sands (1973), the exhibition aims to stimulate imagination around hybrid narratives.
