On Monday, September 9th, the 2024-25 school year will be marked by the opening of the new Collège Charles III, which will host all the 6th, 5th, 4th, and 3rd-grade classes of the public education system. The entrance to the building is located on the forecourt extending from Promenade Honoré II.
The forecourt of this new school infrastructure is not accessible by car (unlike the old school), so stopping vehicles in the immediate vicinity will not be possible.
As a result, the primary access to the new school will be via pedestrian routes, mainly from Promenade Honoré II, which leads directly to the entrance of the school. Promenade Honoré II is ideally served by CAM bus lines:

  • Line 4 at the Honoré II stop (next to Jardins d’Apolline);
  • Lines 1, 2, 3, 6, X1, X3, and X4 at the Place d’Armes stop, accessible via the escalator from Place du Canton.
    These public network lines will be reinforced by dedicated “school” lines for students, serving these same stops in the mornings, afternoons, and Wednesday midday. All information (schedules, subscriptions, etc.) is available on the CAM website.
    From Fontvieille, the preferred pedestrian access will be through the shopping center to reach Promenade Honoré II, also via Place du Canton.
    From the Jardin-Exotique district and Boulevard de Belgique, pedestrian access will be via the elevator in the Galerie des Salines and the new Wurtemberg footbridge.
    For Monabike self-service bike users, several stations are near the new school. The main one is located, once again, on Promenade Honoré II (with 20 docks). Additional parking for other bicycles and scooters is also planned behind the school, near the Millenium building.
    Finally, a drop-off zone will still be available inside the new Wurtemberg Parking lot, on Avenue de Fontvieille, with a one-hour free parking option.
    Find all the information and a detailed map of the main access points on the school’s website: https://college-charles3.gouv.mc/
