The Department of Equipment, Environment, and Urban Planning, in partnership with the A4MT organization, mobilizes public and private entities of the Principality within the framework of the launch of the first edition of MonaCube, the Efficient Building Use Competition – Cube – adapted to Monaco.
This is a one-year experiment dedicated to the construction sector, which aims to familiarize participants with the proper daily energy use, knowing that in France, the Cube initiative has shown for over 10 years that it is possible to reduce energy consumption by more than 10%, and thus reduce our greenhouse gas emissions through simple actions.
This competition aims to establish a collaboration between users as well as between users and operators for the efficient use of our buildings. It rewards the implementation of efficient solutions that significantly reduce energy consumption by acting on usage, control, and resource management.
Through behavioral adaptation and the sharing of best practices, the goal of the initiative is that, over time, these new behaviors become habits that contribute to achieving the objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 compared to 1990.
