The Wurtemberg Footbridge, a remarkable 65-meter long and 2-meter wide metallic structure, is now open to users. Located at the bottom of avenue Pasteur, this key element of the mobility plan favoring pedestrian movement allows access to the Fontvieille district thanks to two elevators that also serve the Promenade Honoré II, the future access to the new school, various entities of the Pasteur block, as well as the Wurtemberg Parking, which will soon open its doors. With this achievement, the entire west of the Principality can be traversed without using a vehicle, from the upper entrance of the Principality to Fontvieille. Indeed, from the Salines Parking, which last April revealed its 1800 parking spaces at advantageous rates at the western entrance of the Principality, one just needs to take the Salines pedestrian gallery and then the Wurtemberg Footbridge to reach Fontvieille. Reducing urban traffic congestion, promoting sustainable mobility, offering alternatives to private vehicles: progressively, the mobility plan unfolds so that everyone can adopt the solutions that suit them best.
