On October 5, 2024, on the sidelines of the XIXth Summit of the Francophonie, Madame Isabelle BERRO AMADEÏ, Government Counselor-Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, and H.E. Mr. Albert SHINGIRO, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation of the Republic of Burundi, signed a Framework Cooperation Agreement.

This Framework Agreement aims to deepen the friendship and cooperation relations with Burundi, a historic partner country of Monegasque cooperation*.

Guided by the desire to contribute to national development priorities, the Princely Government formalizes its commitment alongside the Government of Burundi, specifically in areas such as health, education and child protection, food and nutritional security, and access to decent work.

Isabelle BERRO-AMADÉÏ will visit Burundi at the end of this month for a working visit that will allow her to meet Burundian authorities and cooperation partners, as well as to engage with the beneficiary populations.
