We could bear all the mustaches in the world, except this one!
When the most discreet man on earth, kind and rather shy, finds himself with the most conspicuous and disturbing thing right in the middle of his face.

Today is a big day for Sylvain: he has to meet his future father-in-law, attend a crucial job interview, and make some important decisions. But just as he’s getting ready, a power outage prevents him from shaving completely, leaving him with a pair of mustaches – Hitler’s mustache”.

Exhibition: “I Remain with You”

On the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the death of Jean Cocteau, the museum that he himself conceived as a testimony to his art is returning to its historical layout.

Jean Cocteau died on October 11, 1963, leaving behind a work as rich as it was incredibly varied. The issue of his posterity and the future of his art was one of the artist’s main concerns in his last years of life, and Menton provided the solution by offering him the Bastion to set up his museum.
In this showcase, decorated by Cocteau himself, he wanted to exhibit some of the most emblematic works of his dazzling career: colorful pastels, monumental tapestries, surprising paintings, and bold ceramics constitute the original collection of this true testament museum… Not to mention the famous series of “The Lovers,” drawings that perfectly embody the Mediterranean inspiration of the artist.
Sixty years after the death of the Prince of Poets, the Musée Jean Cocteau-le Bastion has returned to exhibit his historical work, paying a vibrant tribute to his guardian artist, adopting the words he wanted to be engraved on his tombstone: “Je reste avec vous” (“I remain with you”).
