Event Title: Baudelaire, Prince of Eccentricities

adv-596

Date and Time: Friday, March 22nd at 8:00 PM

Location: Theater of General Fiction (TFG)

adv-132

Description: The TFG celebrates Charles Baudelaire, the undisputed master of French poetry, with a musical show titled “Baudelaire, Prince of Eccentricities,” presented by the Start 361° company and directed by Gaële Boghossian. This performance is a fantastical lecture with the flavor of a rock concert, exploring the unpredictable man that Baudelaire was, who shook generations with his brilliant inspirations. Musicians and actors Clément Althaus and Jérémie Boumendil portray post-modern-electro-fascinating dandies, painting a sparkling portrait of the cursed poet, from his teenage rebellion to his fame.

DIZZY Tribute to Dizzie Gillespie

With the Nice Jazz Orchestra Under the direction of Pierre Bertrand

For this exceptional tribute to one of the mythical figures of the Grande Parade du Jazz in Nice, Pierre Bertrand and the NJO have summoned prestigious guests: Sylvain Gontard (trumpet – France), Ron Di Lauro (trumpet – Canada), Minino Garay (percussion – Argentina).

From the “tsunami” created by his tours in Europe, to leading the United Nation Orchestra and his collaboration with Slide Hampton, to his international success when he engaged Quincy Jones as musical director, Dizzie Gillespie’s career is immense and the tribute paid to him on these two dates is essential, if not indispensable.

It’s good, you are not lost

Directed by: Samia Metina A proposal from the student association Cœur en Scène – 2nd National Prize of the theatrical competition of the Crous network

Starting from lines of improvisation, an appointment is set for a gallery of characters who find themselves in a place. They don’t know how they got there, what they expect, and why they have to stay there. Through their questions and the relationships they develop, a sensitive mosaic of humanity is drawn. A theater of appearance, of the invisible, both fun and incisive, “It’s good, you are not lost” is a word that seeks to reassure in an ever-moving environment.

IN THE MONTH OF APRIL, YOU WILL DISCOVER A GEM

BLACK BOY

Saturday, April 13th – 8:00 PM

“UFO” show with live music and drawing

Book: BLACK BOY BOOK NOW

A unique, precious, and unforgettable moment. To be shared with family.

After more than 250 performances, Black Boy stops for the first time in the Maritime Alps!

Black Boy is a cult novel, written in the 1940s by Richard Wright, one of the first novels written and published by a black American author. To (re)discover it, an original artistic proposal: Jérôme Imard infuses the narrative, Jules Stromboni draws live, and Olivier Gotti magnifies everything with singing and the riffs of a lap steel guitar.

A (magical) recipe that has made the public success of this production wherever it has been presented in France.

Black Boy is a dive into an era, into a country marked by racial segregation. It is a novel of shadows and lights, on injustice, combativeness, hope, and love. Autobiographical, it describes the childhood and adolescence of a young man in the southern United States at the beginning of the 20th century and his growth.
