Until March 30, 2024, explore the exhibition “Chasseur de lumière” by Jadikan at the Micro-Folie center in Nice.
A unique opportunity to delve into the singular universe of this artist, a painter of light and photographer, who brings light to life in a distinctive way. Born in 1981, Jadikan developed a passion for photography, revealing his creativity through “light painting,” a technique that utilizes long-exposure photography to manipulate space with light. Over the years, he moved to Asia, embarking on a quest for luminous tools and photographic representations.
The year 2009 marked his debut with a solo exhibition in Issy-les-Moulineaux, presented by the “Jadikan Lightning Project.” In recent years, the artist has embraced virtual reality and 360º works, offering viewers an immersive and interactive experience.
“Hunter of Light” is an extraordinary exhibition where Jadikan uses photography to materialize movements through light, transforming empty spaces into luminous choreographies. Through calligraphy, luminous sculptures, and subtle representations, his ephemeral graffiti illuminate landscapes and locations, captured in unaltered images, reflecting individual shots with extended durations.
The exhibition is located at Micro-Folie, 26 Rue Saint-François de Paule in Nice, near the Opera, and is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, until March 30, 2024.
